Welcome to the NBTA Foundation Managed Travel Index® & Benchmarking Tool. The Foundation would like to thank the more than 50 companies and hundreds of members that have contributed to the NBTA Foundation to make this tool possible. Our goal is to provide travel professionals with valuable information and tools that will enhance managed travel programs.
Benchmarking Tool
The NBTA Foundation's Benchmarking Tool is a data warehouse of valuable information for the air and hotel components of a managed travel program. Through this tool, travel professionals can benchmark against national data related to fares and airline performance in the U.S., as well as hotel market data for both the U.S. and Canada.
The information is timely, easy to use, and provides extensive detail across air carriers, routes and markets. You can also benchmark your top 10 U.S. routes against other NBTA members.
Managed Travel Index® (MTI)
The Managed Travel Index® is designed to help you benchmark the overall operation of your managed travel program. The tool is divided into six (6) areas of performance: Finance, Administration, Sourcing, Technology, Quality, and Compliance. Each performance area contains a series of related questions. Simply answer all the questions in each section and you will receive your MTI®Score back for review.
Once you receive your MTI® score you will then be able to review it, and then benchmark your MTI® using the MTI® Dashboard. You will be able to benchmark against other companies using comparators such as industry, region and total travel spend. You will also have the ability to return to the tool at any time to update your answers as your program changes, grows, and improves.
Travel Risk Management (TRM)
The Travel Risk Management tool allows you to conduct a self assessment that can help you determine your current maturity level, as well as identify areas where you should focus your time and resources to move your program to the next level.
The TRM3 describes the maturity of the organization’s travel risk management program based on a set of 10 key process areas (KPAs) that are required to implement and support a successful program. You can benchmark your level against your peers in like industry, revenue and travel spend.
Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)
The Corporate Social Responsibility tool allows you to conduct a self assessment that will evaluate your company’s maturity level, benchmark your program against others, and provide feedback on where to focus resources to move your program to the next level.
The CSR evaluates your company’s program based on five key process areas (KPAs), including Diagnose, Demand Management, Reduce, Off-set, and Care. You can benchmark your level against your peers in like industry, revenue and travel spend.
